Audi India Hikes Prices Across The Range | Motoroids

The chip shortage and supply chain costs have affected the auto industry on a large scale. Due to this long-running issue, many carmakers have increased their prices and the supply chain issue has also led manufacturers to eliminate trims from the lineup. In this run, Audi India has also announced a price hike in its product lineup. The prices of all Audi cars in India will face a hike of 2.4%. The price hike will be implemented from the 20th of September 2022.

The current India lineup of this German automaker includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8 L, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS 5 Sportback, and Audi RS Q8 which are powered by a petrol engine. The new lineup also includes electric cars under the Audi e-Tron which are the Audi e-Tron 50, Audi e-Tron 55, Audi e-Tron Sportback 55, and India’s first electric supercars, Audi e-Tron GT and Audi RS e-Tron GT. Audi has recently commenced the bookings for the well-appreciated Audi Q3.

Concerning the supply chain issue and the price hike, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, commented, “At Audi India, we are committed to operating a sustainable business model. With rising input and supply chain costs, we are required to take a price hike of up to 2.4% across our model range.”

After a long delay, Audi has finally begun the bookings for Q3 for a token amount of ₹2 lakh. The Q3 will be offered with a sole petrol powertrain, a TSI turbo petrol motor that produces 190hp and 320nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission and power is sent to all four wheels via the Quattro system. It comes in two variants, namely, Premium Plus and Technology.  The new Q3 comes loaded with equipment such as Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI touch, Audi Drive Select, Audi Phone box with wireless charging, Ambient lighting package plus with 30 colors, Audi sound system with ten speakers, and a panoramic sunroof to name a few. The boot space is rated at 530 liters.
